MADDOX IS A 1 YEAR OLD!!

I can't believe I haven't posted this sooner, but our sweet baby boy just turned 1 on August 29th!!

It's hard for me to believe that my baby is now not a bebe.....he's walking, eating every type of grown up food imaginable, listening to me when I say no (well kinda), likes to help play "clean up pick up", gives sweet, slobbery kisses, says/waves bye-bye and hi, points to things, wrestles with his big brother, etc. my list could go on for a while. lol Neeless to say Maddox is growing like a weed and we are having lots of fun with him and his curiousity of the world!

At his 1 year visit he weighed in at 26lbs and 3 oz....still in the 95%. His heighth is only in the 70th percentile....now I can't remember how tall he is...oops! The doctor said Maddox is looking great and seems right on track. He also says that Maddox will be UT's linebacker one day. lol I'm not sure about that....maybe Arkansas! ;)

We had his birthday party on August 29th at my parents neighborhood Clubhouse/Pool...it was PERFECT!! Maddox will be having a pool party for every birthday from now on....I hope he likes swimming! HAHA! We had our family and closest friends over for hot dogs, chips, cake and fun. Maddox loved playing and swimming with everyone...the only thing he wasn't too sure of and actually cried was at "cake time". I don't think that Aidan helped by shoving cake in his mouth when he didn't want it. :) But hey, that is what big bro's are for!

Where has the time gone?? Maddox is growing up so fast I wish I could freeze time just so Allan can enjoy all the things he has done this past couple of months that he has missed out on. As I type this Maddox is watching his first Elmo Movie.....he is sitting in his little Jeep (his walker) and is just laughing and smiling....I was really hoping he wouldn't be a fan, but how can any kid pass up Elmo??!! They can't! HA!

This past month Maddox has become very vocal....he's always been a growler and a laugher, but now he's trying to say words....he says "Oh" to everything....cracks me up! When you ask him what a cow says, he moos, it's super cute. Tries to say "thank you" when he attempts to give you his toy but then won't let go of it as he is handing it to you. "Uh-Oh" when he drops something.....usually he throw his Cheerios and says "uh-oh"....it was cute the first time but then it got old the more I had to pick up. lol Says bye-bye and waves when he sees some one or when it's time to go bye-bye. And he can sing back up vocals for Usher's new song OMG.....he's got the "uh-uh-uh-uh" part down pack....he and Aidan can't get enough of that song....it USED to be my favorite, but I think I'm burned out now....thanks boys!

Maddy is still a pretty relaxed, easy going, happy bebe. His sleeping is MUCH better! Don't want to jinx it, but he sleeps through the night and is still good with his 2 two hour naps a day. He loves his blanky and his pasie...can't sleep without them. :) Just like his brother....well Aidan doesn't take a pasie anymore, but he still loves his blanky.

Almost up to date on this blog...not that life has been too glamorous or anything, but Hey..we're alive and healthy and that is all that matters!!

So the boys and I have returned to good ole San Antone for good. We have been in Austin staying with my parents since June 5th! We had a busy time there....Anthony graduated High School, Allan and I flew up to Fayetteville, AR for a long weekend, Aidan attended 2 VBS's in Austin, we stayed with the Hodson's for a few days while my parents had company, we managed to go to the pool and gym everyday, watched some World Cup 2010 games, visited the Brushy Creek Splash Pad often, came down to SA to visit Allan for Father's Day, went to Huntsville for 5 days to celebrate Brayden's 5th Birthday and to hang out with my Aunts and cousins, Aidan can swim all by himself, I got to spend time with my mom, dad, brothers, sister, friends, in-laws, etc. It was great and much needed! But it also was time for me and the boys to get back home to "daddy" aka Mr. Bar Study Man (as I like to call him).

So we are back and the boys and I are almost settled back in at home. Pretty quite here....Allan stays at the library all day and all night. We've only been home for 2 and a half days and I'm already wishing I was back in Austin...but I'm finding many of things to do around this house. I have a huge list of things that I need to be working on until Allan is done on the 29th....but it's hard to do some of the things like....weed eating, painting, cleaning out our storage closet, dusting the blinds while the boys are around....so those 4 major tasks on my list may just have to wait....sometimes I wish I had a money tree in my backyard and I would just pay some one to do those, but reality...There isn't one!

As of now we are still in the "unknown" part of life....Allan will finish with the Texas State Bar on July 29th, he doesn't have a job offer....so basically we will remain in San Antonio until there is an offer. We don't have anything planned right now and really can't make any plans until the "unknown" is known. So bare with us family and friends. I myself am working on "baring with us"...very hard for me since I am such a planner. Trust me, I will update everyone as soon as we know what is our next step in life. God has a plan for us all and we just have to keep having Faith and trust in Him!!

We celebrated July 4th in Austin at Allan's parents home. Allan came up the Friday before the 4th and then Uncle Michael and Aunt Carey came in from Dallas on Saturday evening. Allan and his dad made ribs and we had a BBQ.....my parents came over and joined us. (This was on Saturday evening) On the actual 4th we went to church with all the Braxdale's, took the kiddos swimming, and then went to some friends home for a party...we didn't stay too long because Maddy needed his sleep before all the loud booms began. We came home and put Maddox to bed and then shot off fire- works....Aidan LOVED every moment of the fireworks!! He just got SO excited hearing and seeing the fireworks....Allan and I still laugh at all his funny sayings that night! Needless to say he is looking forward to New Years Eve so he can shoot off more fireworks. lol

Daddy Day....June 20th

The boys and I headed down to San Antonio on Saturday of Father's Day weekend. Allan had class on Saturday, so we came into town after he was done. We decided to head downtown for some fun. We first stopped at the Children's Museum and played for a while. Then we headed down to the River Walk and had dinner at The Rain Forest Cafe....the boys LOVE it there. :) Then we went out for some ice cream...(Daddy's favorite) then rented a movie and headed home.

Sunday we woke up and went to Mass, came home put Maddox down for his morning nap and Allan and Aidan heade to Chuck E. Cheese to play some games while I cleaned Allan's Bachelor Pad....I cleaned his bathroom, changed his sheets, dusted, did his laundry, packed his lunch for Monday, got his gym bag ready for Monday, just did some random nice things for him. :) Then we headed to the pool for a few hours when Maddox woke and then went to dinner at Fire Bowl....another favorite of Daddy's. Then the boys and I had to say our Good-Byes and headed back to Austin Sunday night.

We love you Daddy and think you are #1!! We miss you so much!

Maddox is 9 Months!

Maddy turned 9 months on May 29th. Is growing like a weed. Still in the 95th percentile for height and weight. :) He weighs 24 lbs and is pretty much off baby food and eating big people food!! Loves cottage cheese, cheerios, Ritz crackers, applesauce, strawberries, watermelon, cantelope, bananas, peas, and carrots. He's a snacker and can't get enough of his Gerber Cheezy Puffs!! lol He's still a happy lil boy and loves life. He just started waving Bye-Bye last night and clapping! I posted a video a couple of posts down... check it out. Still crawling and getting into everything....Mimi thinks he will be walking in the next month...I'm hoping she's wrong. :) He's been enjoying life in Austin but missing his Daddy lots. He still only has his two bottom teeth but have a feeling that his top ones will be showing anyday now....he's been teething bad this week.

Sorry I'm just now getting this post up along with the other long over due ones....but hopefully I will be up to date by tomorrow. :)

Momma's Day

Thanks to the most wonderful boys in the world, I had a fabulous Mother's Day. Allan rented us a Beach House in Port A for a few days. It was perfect! We had a kitchen so we cooked dinner both nights and didn't even leave the place except once and that was to go get a coffee one morning that Maddox decided to get up super early. :)
We played all day at the beach and wore the boys out...they wore us out too. It was so much fun, we can't wait for our next trip to the beach as a family.

Aidan's T-Ball End of the Season Partay!

The Ranger's ended their season at the end of May. They had their "End of Season Party" at Chuck E. Cheese with a Trophy Ceremony. The boys had a blast. Aidan got "Hustler" of the team......maybe because he would run all over the field to catch the ball. A couple of times this season the coaches would have to draw a circle around Aidan and tell him he needed to stay in his circle. HAHAHA It was too cute. He loved to run from 1st Base all the way over to 3rd Base to get the ball.

William Allan Braxdale graduated from St. Mary's University School of Law on May 15th, 2010!!

It was a very nice ceremony. Allan's parents, Mama and Gregg, Pawpaw, Michael and Carey, my parents, Anthony, Nick and Christy, myself and the two boys were there to see the day we've been waiting for 3 years!

This was such a special day....I can't believe it's already been here and over with. Seems just like yesterday he started Law School.....okay, not really. LOL I am so proud of Allan for this amazing accomplishment in his life! He is such a dedicated husband, daddy, and student! He is now busy preparing for the Texas Bar. He has been taking a course at school for the past month and is studying, studying, studying. Please keep him in your prayers when he takes the Bar July 27, 28, and 29th.

2nd Trip to Arkansas

So I decided while I was on my first trip to Arkansas back in April that I was going to be brave and road trip it back to Arkansas with the boys in tow and see the gang again. And I did!! :) But only because I had the help of my favorite Sister In-Law, Carey!!

I drove with Aidan and Maddox to Dallas and we stayed the night with Uncle Michael and Aunt Carey and then Carey headed to Fayetteville with us the next day.

We got to see all our friends and hang out with all the kiddos. It was a fun trip, but very exhausting and probably my last road trip with my two boys until Daddy can join us again. lol

Arkansas Trip #1

So last year I was preggos and wasn't able to make it to one of my very best friend's 30th....so this year I decided it was time for Momma to take a trip solo....well, not solo....my sister had booked some photo shoots for the spring, so we had a sister road trip to Fayetteville! We had a blast! I got to be there for Katie's 31st b-day too!

We had lots of girl time...shopping, drinking, laughing, eating, etc. We celebrated Katie's 31st by going to Bordino's for dinner and then went to Georges to see my friend Dustin's band, A Good Fight, play.

Every April San Antonio celebrates FIESTA.....and the whole city has all sorts of different festivities for everyone. Aidan's school always puts on a parade and encourage the kids to be creative and to decorate their bike, wagon, or scooter....this year Aidan chose to decorate his bike. He went with his all time favorite....Spiderman! :)

Wow, so it has been a loooooong time since I've updated our blog! Well let me fill everyone in real fast. :)

Here are some pics from our Easter. We stayed in San Antonio and spent it with family(The Brinkmann's and Hoffman's) and some friends (The Morey's). Our weekend was full of fun.....cooking, dying Easter Eggs for the Easter Bunny, making birds nest, Farmer's Market, YMCA Easter Egg Hunt, Church, and The Brinkmann's for a fabulous Easter Celebration Dinner!

Well opening day for the Braundera YMCA t-ball season has came and went and Aidan enjoyed every minute of it. Here are just a few pictures of The Rangers and Aidan's first t-ball game! He paid very close attention and hustled on the field (you will notice this when he beats the pitcher to a slow roller hit towards the mound . . . Aidan was playing shortstop!). It was very fun to watch and the kids are just hilarious. Aidan says he just likes to hit, but I secretly think he likes to catch the ball too! Maddox Alexander was Baptized this past Saturday! It was a very special day for him and us. Maddox was very good during his Baptism, he was very happy and didn't cry at all. His Godparents, Uncle Anthony and our very good friend, Katie Hodson, were there to celebrate Maddox's special day. Thank you Anthony and Katie for being Maddox's Godparents...ya'll mean the world to us! Nana and Papaw, Mimi and Poppy, Aunt Barb and Uncle Jim, Derek and Addison and our neighbors, Chris and Ellie were there to celebrate as well. Thank you all for coming to San Antonio to celebrate this joyous day.

I am truely lost with words on the talent my little sister has! Her photography just blows me away. She's amazing at what she does and I admire her for her hard work and capability of growing stronger as a person and a photographer everyday!

Melissa is my best friend....we don't always see eye to eye on everything, but we are A LOT a like in so many ways. It freaks a lot of people out on how much we talk a like, laugh a like, look a like. We've always been pretty close but the past 4 years we've gotten even closer. Everyday I pray that God helps us get back to Austin so she and I can see each other more and that I can help her with "I Heart Photography". I am so blessed to have her as my sister and hope my boys will be as close as she and I are when they are older. Brothers and sisters are such a wonderful thing to have in life and I'm so lucky to have both....I don't know what/where I'd be in life without them. I miss them all sooo much and hopefully one day I'll be back in Austin with them all. They mean the world to me!

Aunt Melissa came to stay with us for a few days. She hasn't been able to come stay with us for a while because she has been busy with "I Heart Photography" and her other job at the apartment complex....well March 1st she was able to quit her job at the apartments and focus on her passion, photography! So we scheduled Maddox's 6 month photos with her trip here to San Antonio. She got to play with her nephews and hang out with her big sis. It was so nice to have her here since Allan has been MIA lately. We took the boys to get ice cream, took them shopping, watched movies, tried to go to Kiddie Park but got rained out, played on the swing set...just had a fun time! One night Melissa and I got to go out for dinner and a margarita.

Today was RODEO DAY at Aidan's School! He had so much fun and was SO excited to wear his new cowboy boots he got from Mimi for Christmas! He really wanted to take his cap gun she gave him too, but I told him that wasn't a really good idea. :)

He and his classmates did some barrell racing, "cow bowling", made their own trail mix, played horse shoes, panned for gold, roped a horse and cactus, etc. What a great way to start school after Spring Break!

Maddox and I went and played with Aidan....M can't wait to run around like all the other kiddos. He had fun watching Aidan and his friends. And today is such a beautiful day outside, it made Rodeo Day a blast! Happy Tuesday!

A Day at the Park

At the beginning of March we decided it was time to take the boys to the park to play!! After being cooped up insided for the cold months of January and February it was time to get some sun and let Aidan use his energy up at the Park. Before we played at the park Aidan played some soccer, basketball and some volleyball. He really loves sports! It's a nice change from Transformers, Super Hero Squad, DS, movies and Army guys! LOL He will be starting T-Ball next week...he's looking forward to that.

Maddox got to actually play at the park this time! He got to swing....he LOVED, and he got to go down the slide....he wasn't too sure about that. So glad it's spring time...we will be doing lots more outside activities!

HALF A YEAR OLD!

MADDOX IS 6 MONTHS OLD!!!

Baby Maddox is 6 months old! It dawned on me last night because Maddox was born on August 29th and February only had 28 days this year...I was like, "Oh my gosh, Maddox is 6 months old even though it was March 1st...I had one of those mommy moments about 6 p.m. last night. I had called Auntie Mel and told her to send over a few of the shots she took of Maddox when Allan and the boys came to pick me up from one of her photo shoots on Sunday. As you can tell, he wasn't dressed for a photo shoot (lol) but his Auntie Mel can't keep her camera away from him and snapped a couple of precious pictures of him. Thanks Aunt Mel!

Maddox will be going in for his 6 month Dr. Appointment Friday so we'll know his height and weight and all that good stuff. :) (He can only wear 12 month clothes, if that tells ya anything) He is starting to sit up on his own, still rolling over like crazy but refuses to roll BACK over and will fuss until one of us rolls him back to his back. lol He is still loving his solids....eats solids 3 times a day...loves his oatmeal and fruits, some days he loves his veggies, but not as much as the fruit. He loves to be outside and take walks in his stroller and also likes me to put him in the mobey wrap while Aidan rides his bike so he can watch him. He adores Aidan so much it just melts my heart. Those two constantly laugh with each other and if Maddox is not happy all we have to do is send Aidan his way and he cheers up immediatly, it's too cute! Aidan is still a wonderful big bro! We won't talk about Maddox's sleep, because he's still not sleeping through the night unless he's in our bed. :( We are still working on it, so say some prayers that maybe this is the month he'll start sleeping in his crib for the whole night!! :)

So Maddox had to take a little trip to the Methodist Children's Hospital this morning for an Upper GI. He did so good for the doctor and the techs! And he looked too precious in his little hospital gown I just had to take a couple of pictures!

We went to his doctor yesterday because Maddox has been spitting up A LOT lately and it just didn't seem normal....his doctor told me that Maddox seemed fine because he is still gaining weight and growing (now weighs 19 1/2 lbs and is 27 inches long) but wanted to get some things checked out. I made the appointment yesterday for this morning at 9 a.m. The trick was, Maddox had to fast for 4 hours....so we woke him up at 4:50 this morning and fed him a big bottle and then just hoped he would last until after 9....and he did, he was fine with it! :) The techs held him underneath the x-ray machine and fed him a bottle of barium with some strawberry flavoring...he loved it! And then the doctor pointed out everything on the TV screen to Allan and I and to come find out....he has Reflux. We had to wait 5 minutes after he drank the bottle and then we got to see the barium go straight from his tummy to the esaphagus and up to the mouth to spit up. We will meet with his pedi tomorrow and hopefully get him on some medication to help him with digesting his food. We are so thankful that he is okay.

Aidan started swim lessons Tuesday evening. St. Mary's offers swim lessons at their indoor pool in the Rec Center. We thought it would be good for Aidan to start getting used to the pool before summer starts. He was actually very excited and did very well during his first lesson...such a change from his swim lessons this summer. lol No crying this time, YAY!!

FAMILY FUN AT THE TEXAS WILDLIFE RANCH

After living here in San Antonio for almost 3 years now, we finally made it to the Wildlife Ranch that is actually here in San Antonio! It's one of those drive thru Zoo's. We had so much fun! Aidan got to sit up front with his daddy and Maddox got to sit in the back with his Mommy. Aidan LOVED this place....he got to feed the animals and was really scared/excited with the Osterich's and the Zebra's...he couldn't believe how they came up to our car and started licking the windows or pecking at the windows...he was screaming, it was hillarious! He had his camera that he got for Christmas from his Auntie Mel and Uncle Chase and took some of his own pictures (we need to start him his own blog because he takes some pretty rockin photos!) Maddox had a blast too...I held him up to the window when the animals would come right up to the car and he would have a stare down with the Zebra's and Osterich's! It was hysterical!! We had a great time with our boys and look forward to many more fun Sunday Family Days!

Could this possibly be Andrea actually be crafty with her two own hands??!! MAYBE!! I think I may have found a fun new hobby/craft to make...."Sassy Diaper Wipie Travel Cases" These are just the plane old jane travel wipe cases that you buy at Target, Walmart, Babies R Us....but with a hint of fashion for us Cute and Sassy Momma's! Here are some that I have made below. I made my first one for myself the day before Maddox was born....I guess I was nesting. I had seen some where that sold cute diaper wipie cases and then I remembered I had a bunch of the plane ones at home left over from when Aidan was a baby. So I ventured to JoAnns and got some material and ribbon and made my first one.....I got lots of compliments on it so I started making these for my girlfriends as gifts when they had their new bundle of joys. And then some one said to me that I should sell these and when I put them on Face Book, I had a few people contact me and ask if I would sell them. I actually just sold my first one....Thank You Holly! I'm going to meet her tomorrow to give her, her new Sassy Wipie Case.

I am going to try to sell these on Etsy....just need to come up with a Name and make some more to sell. I have 3 right now that are for sell. I hope to make 3-4 more this weekend.

Some other news....I got a Sewing Machine for my birthday from my parents......SUPER EXCITED! I'm learning to sew...my mom has been helping me. I'm trying to sew some burp clothes. I'm a little intimidated by the sewing machine....I feel at ease when my mom is close by. LOL Might have to take a class or two before I feel more comfortable. But I'm excited to learn and I'll keep ya'll posted on how it all goes.

The weather has been horrible lately and we have not been doing much but going to the Y (our YMCA) and hanging out indoors at our casa. Maddox and Aidan are starting to enjoy one anothers company and are too sweet together. Maddox just loves Aidan and every time he sees him he just gets all excited. Aidan thinks it's sooo funny that Maddox laughs at him. Aidan loves to play with Maddox and is still Mommy's big helper! Maddox turned 5 Months on January 29th! He is so big...I feel like my little baby is growing up too fast! He is doing well and growing like a weed.

He's rolling over, as you can see the video below, he's eating all sorts of fruits and veggies...hasn't come across anything he doesn't like, he smiles a lot, very alert of everything around him, loves his big brother, loves playing with his toys and loves to eat them, he's trying to sit up...almost there. He's just full of energy and loving life. One thing we are still having problems with is his sleep....he is NOT a sleeper....we thought we had it fixed but it's back to him waking 2 or 3 times a night to eat or to fuss for his passie....so not too much sleep over here at the Braxdale's. We are praying it gets better!

My Boys on Game Day!

As we all know last Thursday was a big "game night" here in Texas. UT played in the National Championship game against Alabama. Poor UT last to Bama!! :( Being married to a man that grew up in Austin and being a Longhorn fan his whole life.....our kids are going to be dressed in burnt orange during UT football game days. :) Don't worry.....Aidan still knows how to call his Hogs and has his Arkansas Jersey and Maddox has a couple of Razorback onsies and some bath towels that he sports. Here are some pics from last Thursday. Oh, and on Thursday I gave Maddox his first Sweet Potatoes...thought he could represent with the color of his food....but it still didn't help lead Texas to victory.

CHRISTMAS 2009

This Christmas was so much fun!! The pictures below are out of order....the first ones are from Christmas Day at The Brinkmann's, Christmas morning at our house, Christmas Eve before bed, and Christmas Eve during the day. Sorry about that!

Christmas Eve, Allan's family came down to our house and spent the day with us. I made an Italian Feast for a late afternoon lunch/dinner. It turned out quite delicious if I may say so myself. We had fun with Billy, Janie, Mamaw, Gregg, and Pawpaw. We just visited and ate lots of yummy food and watched Aidan open TONS of gifts and play with his new toys!! They left around 4 and we got ready for Christmas Eve Mass at 6, came home got cookies ready for Santa, took pictures in our new pj's and Allan read us the "Night Before Christmas" book.

Christmas morning was a blast....Aidan was sooo excited that Santa had come to his house! He loved all his gifts and opened all of Maddox's gifts too.

Allan made us a nice breakfast and then we headed over to the Brinkmann's house around 1 and got to spend the day with my dad and mom, Anthony, Nick, Melissa and Chase, Jim and Barb and my cousin's Kristen and Scott (who got engaged over Christmas break), Katie and Corrinne, and Darcy and her bf Scot. We had a nice, relaxing day with the whole family!!

Needless to say this will be a memorable Christmas! Can't believe it's all over and it's already January 5th! Time is flying!

Doctor Visits Today

Our first Monday morning of 2010 was filled with the boys going to their wellness check ups and both getting Vaccination Shots! Not a fun-filled morning or day, but we couldn't avoid these check ups.

Aidan went for his 4 year Check Up, and he is right on track with everything...his eye sight is good, hearing is good, balance is good, he is 41 inches tall and weighs 32lbs. He could spare to gain a few lbs since he is in the 15th percentile but the doctor said not to worry about it. Aidan was soooo good at his appointment, he really liked his doctor...we have been going back to Austin for Aidan's wellness check ups since we moved here because we just love his old pedi, but we found a great one here, and if we end up in San Antonio, this doctor is who we want to stick with! Aidan told us after the doctor left, that he loved him. :) Too cute, huh. And he is not to fond of the 4 shots he received...he did shed a few tears and said he was mad at the lady for putting stingers in his arms! LOL

Maddox went for his 4 month visit today. He on the other hand is VERY healthy and is in the 95th Percentile for both height and weight....he weighs 18lbs 3 oz, and is 26 and 1/2 inches tall. BIG BOY is what they kept telling us! We have a couple of things to work on with him this month....A SCHEDULE for both feeding and sleeping! We get to introduce him to fruits and veggies and start feeding him 3 times a day....the doctor said this should help with him not wanting to eat 16 ounces of formula through out our nights....and if he wakes during the night to feed him some water so he doesn't get the extra calories! HAHAHA Other than that, Maddox looked great...he's sitting up really well, grabbing for things well, focusing well, eating WELL, almost about to roll over, and the Dr. even thinks Maddox will get his first tooth this month! Needless to say, he didn't like his shots either....he's had lots of tears today!

I'm so thankful that our boys are healthy and they are doing well!

Good Bye 2009, Hello 2010! 2009 was a wonderful year, we were blessed with Maddox! We are now a family of four. A lot to be thankful for last year! And a lot is to happen 2010....Allan turns 30, I will be "In My 30's", waiting on the arrival of our friends newborns, lil Anthony graduates from High School and will be headed off to College, Allan graduates from Law School, takes the Bar, hopefully finds a job, moving could take place, I am getting a new sister-in-law which happens to be one of my oldest/dearest friend, taking some trips, enjoying life with all my family, etc. I could go on and on about all the things to happen but will stop right now. I have my list of resolutions as I do every year, have started on them and hopefully stick to them! May 2010 be blessed for you all!

Wow, can't believe 4 years ago our precious Aidan was born!! He's growing up so fast and we are enjoying every moment. Today Maddox and I are taking Aidan out on an an afternoon date....we are either going to hit up the Zoo or The Children's Museum. Then tonight when Daddy gets home we are going to grill out hot dogs and have some friends over. Oh and we are making him Spider Man cupcakes. :)

Mimi gave Aidan this "Snowman Soup" Kit. He made it the other night when it was very chilly outside! It was delicious. We ended up making these as party favors for Aidan's Birthday party. The kit includes: 1 package of hot chocolate mix, 8 marshmellows, 3 hershey kisses, and 1 candy cane. I hope everyone enjoys them!

Katie and Bennett's Visit to San Antonio

Right before Thanksgiving, one of my bestie's from Arkansas, Katie, and her son, Bennett, came to visit and to meet baby Maddox! We had a great time!

Allan took Bennett and Aidan to the Spurs game....they had lots of fun. That night Katie and I did some shoppping at La Cantera and ate at a yummy Brooklyn Pizza joint. Friday Katie and I took the kiddos to The San Antonio Childrens Museum, lunch at The Rainforest Cafe on the River Walk, drove them by the Alamo (it was a nasty rainy day), took a stroll through Central Market...Katie fell in love, and then had to stop and get some Amy's Ice Cream...that is a MUST when Katie comes to visit. Allan watched the kids that night so Katie and I could do some more shopping and go see a movie. Saturday was filled with a day at Sea World and then to Aidan's last soccer game of the season. That night Katie and I went downtown to the River Walk and had a nice dinner and some drinks. It was so nice to have a friend come visit and have some one to go do things with...I finally felt ALIVE again! LOL Miss living close to friends and family.

"Parents and Pie" Day

Totally forgot to blog about Aidan's little Thanksgiving program at his school, OOPS!

Every year before Thanksgiving each class puts on a cute little program for the parents and sing cute songs about Thanksgiving and then we get to eat pie with our kiddos. I wasn't able to attend this year and sent Allan since he wasn't able to go last year and here are the pics he took.

3 Months Old

Maddox turned 3 months old on November 29th! As he has in the past couple months, he's growing, growing, growing! He is such a happy baby and loves to smile at everyone. He has started to eat rice cereal at night....thought that would help with his hunger problem during the nights, but no....he still gets his 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. craving for some yummy formula. There have been a few nights were he has woken up only once...and those nights are FABULOUS!!! Every night is different but it's not as bad as it was during the first month! We are going to try to transition him to his crib sometime this month.....we keep talking about it, but every night he ends up in our bed, so we'll see when that happens. :) He still loves to coo and talk to ya when you are holding him. He likes to stick his tongue out when you stick yours out....it's too cute. Trying real hard to roll over....can't seem to get over his big arm and gets very upset! :) Other than the normal baby stuff, Maddox is getting pumped for his 1st Christmas! We have some things coming up and will keep you all up to date. Oh, and he will be attending his brother's 4th Birthday Party this Saturday....he told me he was super excited! hahaha

We as a whole family went back home, Austin, for the Thanksgiving Holiday to spend with some good friends and my family. We had such a wonderful time. I think everyone was more excited to see and meet Maddox....I don't think I held him all day!! All my Aunts and cousins took good care of him all day. :) My mom's side of the family all comes to Austin for Thanksgiving and we have such a feast. We start the morning off with our annual "Turkey Trot" and then head to the Siegers for a lite Brunch. Then everyone returns to my parents around 12:30 and the eating begins....appetizers and cocktails, then my mom and her sisters and me and a couple of cousins help do the last minute prep for the big feast. We all dove in an stuffed our faces until we couldn't breathe. Everything was excellant! We have some AMAZING cooks in my family and I'm sooooo greatful for them and their skills.

We are so thankful for our family!! Here is a cute picture of Maddox on his 1st Thanksgiving day!! My mom got him the cutest little outfit...the word "STUFFED" is on his bottom! LOL

BROTHERS FOR LIFE

Wow, it's been a couple of weeks since I've posted anything. November has been a busy month so far...and it's almost over!! CRAZY!

Here is a picture of Maddox and Aidan that I took the other morning in bed. Aidan loves to cuddle up to Maddox and Maddox just loves to watch his big brother. Aidan is such a sweet big brother to M. Now if Aidan could just be that sweet to me all the time. HA!

We are getting ready to have some visitors tomorrow....my friend Katie Elkins and her son, Bennett, fly in tomorrow to stay with us for a few days. We are soooo excited! We have lots of things planned out that we will be doing. Will post some pix after their visit.

Oh, I think I forgot to post after Maddox's 2 month visit: he weighed 14.5 lbs, and was 25 1/2 inches long. He was in the 80th percentile. Big Bubba! I know he's grown since then and that was 3 weeks ago. Maddox is doing well, he's just growing like a weed and starting to interact with people and toys...he's just a doll and we are having so much fun with him.

TRICK-OR-TREAT

Halloween was loads of fun this year for Aidan! He was Spiderman and LOVED his costume! He would were that thing everyday if I'd let him. :) Maddox on the other hand was supposed to be a "Pea in the Pod" but his costume didn't fit....we first tried the 0-3 month and he was too big for his, so we took it back and got him the 3-6 month and he was STILL too big....so I returned it and REFUSED to buy the 9 month costume....they really shouldn't even make a 9 month costume for a "Pea in the Pod". LOL So we borrowed Addison's Lobster costume from last year and he barely could fit in it....needless to say, Maddox spent a total of 15 minutes as a lobster.

Allan's parents and my parents came to visit last weekend...we really enjoyed spending time with them and we know they loved spending time with the boys. We all went to Aidan's soccer game on Saturday afternoon which they enjoyed seeing.

We went to Jim and Barb's house for Halloween Night and Aidan did some major trick-or-treating! Their neighborhood is by far the best Trick-or-Treat place to be!! Aidan had a blast and saw so many different costumes and house decorations. He really was intune with the skeletons and goblins and spiders and spooky things in peoples yards...he had to check EVERYTHING out! hahaha

We had some pumpkins going on at The Braxdale household this year. We had our Iron Man Pumpkin, a carved Jack-o-Lantern, and some little painted pumpkins. Aidan LOVES pumpkins and pumpkin patches, so this year we went a little over board, but Aidan had fun!!

Aidan's October School Home Project

So, October's school home project was to either "decorate a pumpkin" (not carve) or make a scare crow for the school's pumpkin patch. Well, I just wanted Aidan to paint one and then Allan and Aidan came up with an idea to make an "Iron Man" pumpkin!! I was like then you two are on your own.

Our neighbor, Chris, runs an auto body company and it involves painting cars.....so Allan immediatly went to him about his idea and they came up with what is below! :)

Chris and Allan perfected the pumpkin and I don't think Aidan did too much work on it. LOL Men, they still have the little boy in them. This should have been called "The Dad's home project".

Maddox is 2 Months Old!!

Maddox is 2 month old!!! As you can see he is so much more alert and has gotten so big. He is smiling all the time and loves to coo when you hold him. He's getting a little better at night but still not sleeping through the night yet...he wakes up twice during the night and early morning.

He goes in for his 2 month old appointment on Monday, so we will know his weight and height then...we do know he is growing, he is wearing 6 month clothes!! I had to bag up all his newborn and 3 month old clothes and give it to Andy and Allyson for their baby boy that is due in January.

I took the little boys to Austin last weekend...that was our first overnight trip since Maddox was born. We went home for Mimi's birthday. We had a nice time visiting everyone. The car ride was okay. It's hard to travel with a newborn, so we probably won't be doing that too much until Maddox is older. We will be going back next weekend for Allyson's baby shower and Uncle Anthony's 18th birthday party and then head home for a couple of days for Thanksgiving and that's probably it for the year.

Well, we have lots to do before all our Halloween Festivities begin this afternoon....Aidan and I are about to make some Halloween cookies for his school Trick or Treat Party tonight, Nana and Papaw come in this evening to stay with us, we are going to Hallo-scream at Sea World this afternoon, Aidan's party tonight, tomorrow headed to the Zoo, then Mimi and Poppy come in town, we have Aidan's soccer game at 2 and then headed to Jim and Barb's for their Halloween Party and trick or treating with the kiddos. So much fun!! I will be blogging about our fun on Sunday!

Maddox is 6 weeks old as of yesterday!! He's getting SO big! Here are some pictures of him at 5 weeks and 6 weeks.

We are having so much fun getting to know him still! He is our pride and joy and enjoy watching him grow. Aidan is such a wonderful big brother! He truely loves Maddox and Maddox loves him. Maddox loves to just stare at Aidan and Aidan loves to tell Maddox stories....especially Jack and The Bean Stock. They are too cute!

We went to Maddox's 1 month Doctor's appointment...HE HAS GROWN!! He weighs 12lbs and is 23 inches long....we didn't get his percentile, but have a feeling it's pretty high since his doctor walked into the room and said, "Maddox is one big boy for 1 month old." LOL
