AIDAN'S SCHOOL HALLOWEEN PARTY

These are some photos from Aidan’s school Halloween Trick or Treat Party last Friday. We took some pictures of the other “Halloween Boxes” that other families made. Everyone was so creative and came up with amazing ideas! Aidan had a great time at his school party. He was so happy to say “Trick or Treat”, and absolutely LOVED getting candy in his pumpkin bucket.

Halloween is going to be a blast this year with Aidan! We are really looking forward to Friday and all our festivities. Can’t wait to see the excitement on Aidan’s face!!

THE PIRATE SHIP PROJECT

The Braxdale's have had a very busy week this past week. We headed to Lufkin, TX (east Texas) last Friday for my cousin Jeremy's wedding. (I'll post pics from their wedding soon) We got back late Saturday night so Allan could spend the day at the library and we had to work on Aidan's "Halloween Box Project" which was due on the 24th for school. In between all our hard work we attended two of Allan's "Professional Law School Flag Football" games (not really, but they think they are semi-pro) they won both games and now they are playing next Tuesday in the Championship Game....Go Black Acre!! We finished the ship on Thursday early morning before Allan left for school and dropped it off at Aidan's school so we did not have to babysit the Pirate Ship anymore! :)

All the boxes that have been creatively decorated will be displayed at Giant Steps Learning Center (Aidan's school) for their Halloween Carnival tonight. And there will be teachers at each box handing out candy to all the Trick or Treaters. :) We will take pictures of that tonight and post them tomorrow. But here are some pictures of Aidan's Pirate Ship that we built out of 2 huge card board boxes and some paint.

And here's Allan's Flag Football Team, Black Acre!! Championship game is next Tuesday...we'll keep you posted! :)

Fire Trucks and Picnics

Last week the local Fire Men and Fire Engines visited Aidan's school! The kids where in heaven. The Fire Men talked about safety and showed them all of their equipment. Aidan even got to spray the fire hose. He had a blast and was a great listener. Next time I need Aidan to listen to me, I'm going to call the firemen over to my house to talk to Aidan. HA!

Then we went to San Antonio's beautiful Botanical Garden's with our friends, Jen and Baby Alice. We walked around and let the kiddos play and explore the cool Tree House exhibit and then had a picnic on their lushes grass.

OUR AIDAN.......

Our Aidan is growing up so FAST! We have been real busy the past 2 months with Aidan's new school. They had a "Family Picnic" a couple of weeks ago that Aidan really enjoyed! He was introcdued to Cotton Candy...which he loved! He could have spent the entire day in the bounce house....he thought he owned the bounce house, so it was a little difficult to get him out of there. He got his face painted....one cheek had a catipillar and the other cheek had a kitty cat face drawn on it. The balloon lady made him a motorcylce out of balloons...that was really cool!

Aidan had a take home project in September that we had to complete by a certain date....it was "A Newspaper Article about Aidan". So we had fun putting that together. McGruff the Crime Dog came by his school last week and talked about Safety...his teacher said Aidan really enjoyed that and gave McGruff a few hugs. This week they are learning all about fire trucks and firefighters, so the fire truck comes by this Friday....I know Aidan will be ecstatic about that!

We have a new project that we are working on for the month of October. We have this really large box and we have to be creative as a family and make a "Trick or Treat" display box for their big Halloween Party on October 24th....the Braxdale's are brainstorming right now and hopefully agree on something so we can start working on it this week. I will keep everyone posted on our project and post pictures!

Aidan is doing well and is wowing us everyday on things he knows and can do. He's your typical happy little 2 and 1/2 year old.....I won'd get into all his terrible two moments we have daily. LOL
