OUR CUTE LIL PATIENT

So Maddox had to take a little trip to the Methodist Children's Hospital this morning for an Upper GI. He did so good for the doctor and the techs! And he looked too precious in his little hospital gown I just had to take a couple of pictures!

We went to his doctor yesterday because Maddox has been spitting up A LOT lately and it just didn't seem normal....his doctor told me that Maddox seemed fine because he is still gaining weight and growing (now weighs 19 1/2 lbs and is 27 inches long) but wanted to get some things checked out. I made the appointment yesterday for this morning at 9 a.m. The trick was, Maddox had to fast for 4 hours....so we woke him up at 4:50 this morning and fed him a big bottle and then just hoped he would last until after 9....and he did, he was fine with it! :) The techs held him underneath the x-ray machine and fed him a bottle of barium with some strawberry flavoring...he loved it! And then the doctor pointed out everything on the TV screen to Allan and I and to come find out....he has Reflux. We had to wait 5 minutes after he drank the bottle and then we got to see the barium go straight from his tummy to the esaphagus and up to the mouth to spit up. We will meet with his pedi tomorrow and hopefully get him on some medication to help him with digesting his food. We are so thankful that he is okay.

SWIM AIDAN SWIM!

Aidan started swim lessons Tuesday evening. St. Mary's offers swim lessons at their indoor pool in the Rec Center. We thought it would be good for Aidan to start getting used to the pool before summer starts. He was actually very excited and did very well during his first lesson...such a change from his swim lessons this summer. lol No crying this time, YAY!!

FAMILY FUN AT THE TEXAS WILDLIFE RANCH

After living here in San Antonio for almost 3 years now, we finally made it to the Wildlife Ranch that is actually here in San Antonio! It's one of those drive thru Zoo's. We had so much fun! Aidan got to sit up front with his daddy and Maddox got to sit in the back with his Mommy. Aidan LOVED this place....he got to feed the animals and was really scared/excited with the Osterich's and the Zebra's...he couldn't believe how they came up to our car and started licking the windows or pecking at the windows...he was screaming, it was hillarious! He had his camera that he got for Christmas from his Auntie Mel and Uncle Chase and took some of his own pictures (we need to start him his own blog because he takes some pretty rockin photos!) Maddox had a blast too...I held him up to the window when the animals would come right up to the car and he would have a stare down with the Zebra's and Osterich's! It was hysterical!! We had a great time with our boys and look forward to many more fun Sunday Family Days!

My New Little Hobby/Venture....

Could this possibly be Andrea actually be crafty with her two own hands??!! MAYBE!! I think I may have found a fun new hobby/craft to make...."Sassy Diaper Wipie Travel Cases" These are just the plane old jane travel wipe cases that you buy at Target, Walmart, Babies R Us....but with a hint of fashion for us Cute and Sassy Momma's! Here are some that I have made below. I made my first one for myself the day before Maddox was born....I guess I was nesting. I had seen some where that sold cute diaper wipie cases and then I remembered I had a bunch of the plane ones at home left over from when Aidan was a baby. So I ventured to JoAnns and got some material and ribbon and made my first one.....I got lots of compliments on it so I started making these for my girlfriends as gifts when they had their new bundle of joys. And then some one said to me that I should sell these and when I put them on Face Book, I had a few people contact me and ask if I would sell them. I actually just sold my first one....Thank You Holly! I'm going to meet her tomorrow to give her, her new Sassy Wipie Case.

I am going to try to sell these on Etsy....just need to come up with a Name and make some more to sell. I have 3 right now that are for sell. I hope to make 3-4 more this weekend.

Some other news....I got a Sewing Machine for my birthday from my parents......SUPER EXCITED! I'm learning to sew...my mom has been helping me. I'm trying to sew some burp clothes. I'm a little intimidated by the sewing machine....I feel at ease when my mom is close by. LOL Might have to take a class or two before I feel more comfortable. But I'm excited to learn and I'll keep ya'll posted on how it all goes.
