On January 25th, I turned the big 3-0! I've been dreading my 30's the past couple of years, and still yet to overcome not being in my 20's anymore. :( Everyone says, 30's are the new 20's...I'm not too sure about that, I'll let ya'll know what I think next year.

Back in January, my lovely husband, Allan, threw me a fabulous Birthday party in Austin at "Betsy's Bar", The night was perfect with all my dear friends from Austin, San Antonio, Fort Worth/Dallas and two best friends that flew all the way down from Fayetteville, AR.

The Friday night before my party, my two girlfriends, Katie and Lyndsy, flew in and we stayed downtown at the Stephen F. Austin Hotel and had a girl night....went and had Pedi's, my mom and sister joined us too. We went and had drinks at The Flying Saucer (not me, I stuck to non-alcoholic beer....pretty yuck too), then we went to "Hey Cupcake" and had our dessert before our dinner and then ventured to Saba's down on 4th for Tapas and Mojito's. We called it a night and went back to the Hotel where Allan met us and we had drinks at the bar that overlooked Congress. Saturday morning was freezing cold....I took the girls shopping, Allan had errands to run....then we met a bunch of my best friends from Austin at Hula Hut for a late lunch....Hula Hut is one of my FAVE places to eat in Austin. Then everyone went home to get ready for the partay! Party was fun, and thanks again to all my friends that came out for my big night....sorry I wasn't able to partake in fun beverages, but glad everyone had a great time.

I suggest if you have any sort of party, you hire them FOR SURE!! They travel too! So don't be scared, book them for your next bash, they will make it a night to remember!!

OUR SPRING BREAK TRIP 2009

During Allan's Spring Break this year, he wanted to take Aidan and I on a road trip up to New Mexico. At first I was a little skeptical about doing a road trip and not doing my all time favorite kind of trip....to the beach to relax and get some sun. He wanted to take us to Carlsbad Caverns and skiing at Ski Apache and where ever else our car would take us. :) And we had a GREAT time!!

Our trip started off with some fantastic news....Allan passed the US Patent Bar exam on that Friday evening and we were all just so THRILLED! We then packed up or things and hit the road on Saturday late afternoon and headed to Kerrville, TX to visit Allan's Grandpa AKA Pawpaw. We had a nice visit with him. We got up the next morning and had breakfast with Pawpaw and then took off for Carlsbad, NM. We took Aidan to the Caverns, which he LOVED, then headed to Roswell, NM...wanted to take Aidan to a UFO/Alien Museum, but he got sick when we got there, so we continued on to Ruidoso, NM....it's a ski town in the mountains. We stayed there for a few days and had a grand time! Aidan and Allan did some skiing, we got to eat and shop at all the cute "mom and pop" stores in town. I really enjoyed Ruidoso....it's a cute little town and can't wait to go back. We've been there once with Andy and Allyson back in 2005. After Ruidoso, we headed to Alamogordo....there we stopped at a Pistachio Ranch and had lots of samples and then bought some yummy things, then we headed over to a place to have a famous "Green Chile Burger", then we took Aidan to the Space Museum and then went to see a IMAX about the Moon.

We had lots of family fun and Aidan loved all the different things we did! He keeps talking about it and wants to go back. Enjoy some of our pictures.
