Mamma Mia!

Mamma Mia was such a cute movie! My friend Katie came to visit and we went to see it together. (knowing our husbands wouldn't go see it with us) The movie had us laughing, singing, and a couple of times we wanted to stand up and dance!

I highly recommend this movie....so go grab you friends, mom, sister, grandma, or maybe even your husband if he's into musicals. This movie won't let ya down.

I want to buy the soundtrack, it's going to be a good one! I can't stop singing all the songs. HA! Thanks Katie for going to see this movie with me, I had fun!

Welcome to the "blog life" Katie!

One of my dearest friend's, Katie, has joined the blog life!! I'm so excited she did. She and her husband, Derek, live in Austin, TX and are two of our closest friends....we miss them lots since our move to San Antonio.

:( Thank goodness for phones!! I think Katie and I talk 3 times a day. lol

But they have some exciting news....they are expecting a baby girl in October of this year!! YAY! Her name is Addison Kate. Now that they have a blog, I can keep up with Addie as she grows....as long as "mommy" keeps the blog updated!! LOL Just kidding Katie...you know if you start to slack I'll get onto you or I'll just update it for ya.

WE MADE IT!! Woo-Hoo Aidan!

Well, we made it through "Nudie Booty"!!! We had our first outing today to the gym and no accidents....until we got home! :) We will continue to work hard on the potty training and me being patient with accidents. :)

Way to go Aidan, you are growing up to be a fine young boy! We love you!

Good Luck Allan!!!!

Today Allan is taking the Patent Bar exam. This is his first shot at the exam, so please say some prayers for him. He started studying for it back in May after spring semester was over....he hasn't gotten to study as much as he would like, due to his internship job he works during the day and then by the time he comes home it's family time until Aidan goes to bed and then he studies for a couple of hours before he hits the hay.

The exam starts at 11 a.m. and ends at 7 p.m. Best of luck Allan...we are rooting for you you!!

Family Beach trip to Port A July 2008

Here are some pictures from our Port Aransas trip with Allan's family. We had a great time....Aidan loved the beach! He learned to boogie board, caught hermet crabs and sand dollars, he loved jumping the waves, and he even taught himself how to surf! HA!

For those that aren't familiar with Port Aransas....it's a beach town here in Texas.(In Texas we call it, Port A) It's on the north part of Padre Island which is also known as Mustang Island. It was my first time there, and I really liked it! Cute town with fun little restaurants and bars and shops, can't wait to go back....and it's only 2 and a half hours away from San Antonio.

2nd Day has almost ended......

So, as Monday is ending it has officially been 2 days with "Nudie Booty". Aidan is the bomb at going pee on the potty!! Now going #2....that's another story. :( If anyone has suggestions, please send them my way! I think we may be able to venture out of the house by tomorrow after nap time. We did start the nudie bumming on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

Being in the house for the past 2 1/2 days has been tough. Allan came home from the library last night so I could go run with my marathon mommy group late last night. He's supposed to come home tonight sometime so I can go run with my friend Ashley. It's a little after 8 and I haven't heard from him....we'll see if I get to run.

Other than the Nudie Booty, not too much is going on with us. Allan is preparing to take the Patent Bar Exam tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. My parents made it back from their 8 day adventure to Hawaii and are headed to Arizona and Las Vegas this Thursday. We heard from Allan's parent's this morning via email, they are enjoying their trip in Canada....I'm sure they are loving the weather...it's been hotter than heck here in Texas this summer, I need a break from this heat.

Nudie Booty is in Affect!

Well, it is official.....Aidan is nudie bummin it! We went to Soccer Practice this morning and ran a couple of errands. By the time we got home, I had had it with changing diapers and before nap time, we told him "no more diapers." So when he woke up from his nap he said, "I peed my bed." I had a slight feeling that would happen. No big deal, but I explained to him that anytime he needed to go "wee-wee" or "poo-poo" he needed to run to the bathroom to his Elmo potty or he could use the big boy potty. And the verdict....he has not had an accident and has used the potty 3 times on his own! So far so good! Will keep you posted as we stay home for the next 3 days.....oh, and say your prayers for me. I've never stayed at home this long except for when I am sick....this means, no errands, no gym, no pool, no running, etc. I think I may go a little insane! :) Just kidding....I think it will be good for Aidan and I to stay in for a few days, we are always on the go. :) Wish us luck!

YAY! Finn came to visit!

Last week, Finn (Aidan's best friend) and his momma, Katie came to stay with us for a couple of days. It was raining one day so we took the boys to a place called "Mini Town". There is a mini HEB grocery store, a mini theatre, a mini dance club, a beauty parlor, a mini play house, a mini school room, etc. Watching Finn and Aidan play together is so much fun! And exhausting....I think Katie and I are always exhausted after running after them all day. :) And of course we took them to their favorite restaurant, Chick Fil-A, for ice cream cones. The next day we took them to Lost Lagoon at Sea World. Lost Lagoon is the water park, and we had a blast! We saw dolphins up close and went to the aquarium. The boys got to ride a log ride together called Texas Splash Down. Aidan got a little scared when we were going down the big slide....he held on tight and cried a littled but once we got off the ride he said that it was "cool". HA! The boys liked the lazy river, the wave pool and the pirate ship play area. We wore the boys out or you could say they wore us out. But we had a great time with them on their visit to see us. We will be sad when the Schwarz move to Fort Worth in September. :( Thanks for coming and seeing us Katie and Finn!

Happy 3rd Birthday Brayden

Happy Birthday Brayden! We went to east Texas this past weekend to celebrate with my cousin's son on his 3rd birthday. It was a "cowboy" themed party and everyone had a blast. Aidan got to milk a cow, rope a cow, pet goats, feed goats, ride the goats, swim, slide down the water slide on the bounce house, play guns with his cousin and friends, and eat lots of birthday cake and ice cream. Needless to say, Aidan was in heaven...he doesn't get to do that kind of stuff in the city. I know he wishes he could live out there.

Welcome to the world, baby Drew! I got an early morning phone call from Julie (one of my BF's in Arkansas) saying that Drew has entered the world. He was born last night at 11:01, 9lbs 4 oz and 21 and 1/2 inches long!! Congrats Mommy and Daddy! You guys are in my thoughts and prayers! Send me pictures soon! Love ya'll!!

Okay, so I'm not an average blogger!

So I few months have gone by and I haven't blogged about a thing....oops! A lot has happened since April, not enough space to type about it all. So here is just a few things to get us on track and maybe I'll blog a little bit more.

Allan got an internship here in San Antonio and has been working since May. Can't think of the firm's name off the top of my head but they are an insurance law firm. He's enjoying it there and is getting a lot of experience. He will be taking the Patent Bar exam July 22nd. So needless to say his summer has consisted of working and studying. We did manage to got to the beach for a week last week. We had a great time and Aidan really enjoyed swimming in the ocean, building in the sand and even attempted to surf board a few times. :)

Aidan and I have been busy with Sea World, the zoo, going to the pool, soccer tots, swim lessons, going to the gym every morning, a few play groups here and there, and going back to Austin to visit our family and friends. Aidan is quite the soccer player. Looks like he's going to be a lefty....that is the foot he kicks with 99.9% of the time. He goes to soccer once a week and loves it...every morning when he wakes up he ask "We going to soccer today?" He also finished his first session of swim lessons and is doing amazing. He loves going under water, jumping in, trying to swim to momma or daddy by himself. I'm just so thankful that he loves the water and is actually trying to learn to swim...hopefully by the end of this summer he can swim a whole lap...Just Kidding!

As far as me, I'm just still enjoying being at home with Aidan. I started playing tennis again back in April. I played a lot in April and May and now it's just too dang hot. I'm also running a half marathon in November so I've been training for that and working out a lot to prepare myself for my life long goal of running a half marathon before I turned 30!! LOL Everything else is pretty much the same.....reading books, cooking new recipes, drinking wine with friends, etc.

Okay, that's good for now. I promise to be a better blogger and to post more pics.
