WE HOPE ALL OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS HAD A HAPPY THANKSGIVING! WE ARE SO THANKFUL FOR EACH AND ONE OF YOU IN OUR LIVES!

Aidan really enjoyed Thanksgiving this year. He told every person he saw "Happy Thanksgiving" and asked if they were going to eat Turkey, pie, and mashed tatoes! :) We spent our holiday here in San Antonio, our family that lives here (the Brinkmann's) had us over for a lovey dinner. We had a great time with them and getting to visit with our cousin, Corinne, who was home from college. We had a fun visit from our friends, The Hodson's, that evening. Derek, Katie, Addison and their dog Hailey came and stayed the night with us so Katie and I could do our annual "Black Friday" shopping trip! Allan and Derek got to be full time daddy's while Katie and I shopped from 4:30 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. We had a fab time as always, but still exhausted!

Hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving! Love you all!!

WE CROSSED THE FINISH LINE!!!!!!! WOO-HOO!!

Allan and I ran the Rock and Roll 1/2 Marathon Sunday, November 16th. YAY! This was both our first 1/2 marathon we have ever ran....and the farthest we have ever ran! Crossing that finish line was such an amazing feeling and such an accomplishement for both of us! We started training for this back in August and had fantastic results. My time was 2:07:59 and Allan's time was 2:08:31....yes, I beat him! :) J/K I wanted us to cross the finish line together but when I turned around after we met up at the 13 mile marker he wasn't there and I knew I just had to get to that finish line before I colasped! Our goal was to run it in 2 hours and 15 minutes...so we did well and were very pleased!
I have more photos and more to blog about the race, but I need to go run an errand, so I'll blog later about our memorable weekend!

"Change Has Come to America"

"I urge all Americans who supported me to join me in not just congratulating him, but offering our next president our good will and earnest effort to find ways to come together to find the necessary compromises to bridge our differences and help restore our prosperity, defend our security in a dangerous world, and leave our children and grandchildren a stronger, better country than we inherited." John McCain, November 4th, 2008
Wow, history was made last night!!!! Congratulations to President Barack Obama!! Today is a new day and a day where every American should support our new president. My household is a perfect example...Obama may not have had our vote, but being elected as The United States of America President, we must support him and come together as one. It's time for a change, and time to reclaim the American Dream!! God Bless America!!

AIDAN'S HALLOWEEN 2008

Aidan had a spootacular Halloween this year! Mimi came to visit and joined us for all the festivities. We started out at Mini Boo Bash at St. Mary's University Law School.....Aidan had a great time playing all sorts of games and getting LOTS of candy! Then we headed over to Uncle Jim and Aunt Barb's house for yummy chili dinner and then headed around their festive neighborhood for some Trick or Treating. It was CRAZY over at Summer Glen...every house had emaculate Halloween decorations....one house had a "Haunted House" in their front yard that people were going thru, another house had a huge projection screen on the side of their house showing "Scary Movies" and you could lounge in their yard and watch, one house was handing out these big magic wands that had glowing lights, one house had beers for the adult trick or treater and candy for the little ones!! It was so much fun, we can't wait for next year to go back!! It was the most lively trick or treat scene I've ever seen. Hopefully one day we will get to live in a neighborhood like that where they go all out for Halloween, it was tons of fun!

Needless to say, Aidan is a pro at Trick or Treating...there were many of times when he would leave the house about 4 steps and then turn around and go say "Trick or Treat" again to get second's on candy. What a stinker!! He also chased a couple of girls and would yell out, "Hey gurls, I got your candy". He was so cute. He had a great time and can't wait for next year. :)
